Zen Blossoms Simao Green Tea - 2 oz
This delightful green hails from the great tea region of Simao, Yunnan, China. Picked only once a year in the span of two days, this small production tea is both delicious and nourishing. The dry leaf exibits fragrance of flowers, corn and a hint of spice. The tea soup is rich and full bodied yet light, and creamy in texture due to the pectins in the leaf. Notes of buttered corn, chestnut and edamame are highlighted with just a hint of smoke. Overall a very balanced and enjoyable green tea that encourages the appreciation of the present moment. As with most Yunnan greens, I like to brew this 'grandpa style', with a couple grams at the bottom of a Ball jar or mug, refilling with hot water (but not boiling) throughout the day.
