FERMENTED BILBERRY LEAF - 2 oz
A special find from the mountains of Adjara in the country of Georgia. Wild bilberry (a cousin of blueberry) leaves are hand rolled and fermented much like a black tea! The infusion is dark amber and aromatic with a distinct scent of blueberries, and a tart, slightly spicy and almost creamy mouthfeel. Fruit leaves such as pear, apple or cherry are often fermented and enjoyed as an herbal tea in the Caucasus regions as they are known for their health-giving properties and wonderful flavors. Bilberry leaves are packed full of nutrients, antioxidants and minerals. Delicious with natural sweetener or on its own.
